But when Daphne Pembroke hires him to help her find her kidnapped brother, she discovers that he knows exactly what to do in any situation, whether it's fighting off villains or soothing cramps. He also manages to convince the browbeaten, insecure Daphne that there's nothing wrong with a woman having a brain, or a sex drive. Fans of Elizabeth Peter's "Amelia Peabody" series will find this historical Egyptian adventure right up their alley. I'm actually not a big fan of adventure or mystery in my historical romances, but Rupert is so funny and sexy, I would happily read a story about him watching paint dry.
