My wife heard about the book on Oprah and The View. She started the eating plan and lost 5 pounds the first week and about 2 pounds each following week. After three weeks (and a noticable difference in her size) I jumped on the bandwagon. I was 207 pounds at 5'8".

That was 5 months ago and I've been at 165 pounds for the last month. My wife only lost 25 pounds because her approach is a bit more permissive. She'll have that occasional peice of pizza, beer and candy.

We drink a shake in the morning and at lunch and eat healthy chicken, fish or pork chop based meals in the evening.

Cookies and icecream have been replaced with fruit or walnuts. (Sugar free ice pops aren't bad either.)

I do think the book is mis-named - I don't consider what we are doing a "diet" - rather a new life eating plan.

You may think that you'll be giving up alot, but it really comes down to this:

What do you want more, sweets or a healthier/better body?
