'The Diary of Anne Frank' is the story of a Jewish teenage girl during WWII. Anne received the diary for her birthday one year and proceeds to write in it fairly regularly as time progresses. It tells of life when the Jews were first starting to be harassed, and eventually she tells of going into hiding from the Gestapo. Anne is just like every other young teenage girl around the world, no matter what era she grew up in. The only difference is she happened to grow up a Jew during WWII, and that led to her eventually going to a concentration camp & dying. She was just 15.

Every young girl will hopefully appreciate this book for what it is: a simple diary kept by a simple, average, yet courageous & heroic girl.
