A brilliant read and one that's sure to keep you laughing. Bill Bryson traces his hike along the Appalachian Trail with his witty and humorous writing style that had me laughing at every bend in the trail. It is a revitalizing book that had me off my chair and walking through my local woods to find a cozy place to set down, back against a rock or log, and read this book in nature as if I was living his adventure in person. I found myself lost in the pages and not wanting to put his book down. It is a wonderful and enchanting insight into a unique niche of Americana and the wonderful things available to see and do in the American wilderness. It is as much a discovery of self as it is a discovery about our country and its wilderness. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
