This book was truly work of magic. It's about a young boy, who meets a dragon. Little did he know that he was about to embark on a dangerous adventure, and find out the prophcey of the Dragon Rider, was about him. Cornelia Funke has such a vivid imagination, that everyone can't help but love, and cherish. When you turn a page, it crinkles slightly, inviting you into a world of adventure. It is written cleverly, and light. The words flow together like a powerful mudflow, keeping you on the edge of your seat, waiting for more. This book has the most common magical creatures, like dragons, brownies, and dragon riders, but yet it is not like other magical books. Dragon Rider is unique in it's own way, it's one of those books that you don't come pass everyday, and if you do, you want to hold on to it forever, and read it over and over again.
