I am a fan of Julie Garwood, and enough of a fan that I keep my copies of the books she wrote for the pleasure of re-reading them. So when I was very disappointed to find this book seems to be a catch-all of intriguing ideas, exaggerated characters, unrelated events and the contents of the round file, and out of keeping with her previous books, I went back and re-read two of her recent books just to be sure it was the same author. Having done that, I am even more disappointed in this book. Sigh. I hope to have better luck the next time I buy one of her books.
