I couldn't have been more wrong. This book, even though it was set in that time period, did not take the same approach to WWII as many of the other books that I have read. No, this book, instead of being told by a Jewish person, a Nazi, or a person sheltering a Jew, was told by death. After reading the first few pages, I was hooked.
