I was quite interested in reading this excerpt, hoping I would like it. I did like his previous book but was disappointed because of the author's misrepresentation of same as memoir.

If this is fiction, and continues on in the same way, dialogue, not showing, telling, reporting, it won't work. Frey has a unique style, and he could just about pull it off, but I am not sure. Just continued reporting doesn't work in fiction, it makes it flat, one dimensional.

He is intriguing tho.
