I loved the clarity of the book. Anne is one of the greatest jugglers ever, just when she has you spliting your sides with laughter she touches you in an unexpected way and you find yourself crying. The tears are not only for yourself but for everybody because it is just such a full time job being human. Anne helps. She lets you know that God even unbiden is always with you. If I was introducing Anne's book's to a friend I don't think that I would start with this one. This book is great as a stand alone but to really appreciated it requires the reader to already "know" Anne. Try Traveling Mercies first or Plan B then come back to this book. You will love it.
