Based on the blurb, I am already scared to read it..years ago, in the 70's we had reports in Jamaica that the CIA was trying to get rid of our Prime Minister, Michael Manley...the newly emerging, mostly illiterate at the time, Rastafarians warned that birth-control was a US device to control the spread of black people by limiting their population.

We all dismissed these conjectures as rubbish.

Years later, as I toured the campus of the University one of my sons attended in the US, I was handed a book by a political campaign team on campus that day to promote their candidate of choice.

I read that book, and to my shock and horror, learned that it was all true, that Michael Manley had had several attempts made on his life, orchestrated by the CIA; that the then Secretary of State of the US - Kissinger- was promulgating the idea that the world's black population, especially in Africa and the Middle East needed to be kept in check -he opted for the promotion of birth control in Africa- in order to preserve the oil reserves in Africa for American use instead...so I am not going to buy this book, because I am frankly scared of what I will find, scared of the hatred it will stir up, scared of the fear for my children that it will engender -they now live in the US, I don't want to know!!!!

But, I am sure it is true!
