Night Angel: The Complete Trilogy by Brent Weeks
Night Angel: The Complete Trilogy

, January 17, 2012

Without giving away anything of this trilogy, I will say it's one of the first 1,970 page trilogies that I've ever read in two weeks. I first read all three books in October 2010, and have since re-read the entire set five more times in 2011. Reading Brent Weeks Night Angel Trilogy is captivating from the first chapter. They are non-stop books with well developed and interesting characters. Each time I re-read them, they are as good as the first time.. This series proves that writing can be an artform.

If you don't read this set of books, you'll never know what you missed.

Where the Wild Things Were: Life, Death, and Ecological Wreckage in a Land of Vanishing Predators by William Stolzenburg
Where the Wild Things Were: Life, Death, and Ecological Wreckage in a Land of Vanishing Predators

, January 1, 2012

This is such a well written book! It takes a number of studies on predators, illuminates everything about them from their locations to their place in history,as well as the scientist and how he/she got interested in that area of science.. Each described study about predators, is extremely well written and interesting. Then as the author builds these stories into a wall of information, the reader gets a picture of the whole, and why these predators are irreplaceable.
