What a great book! My son learned his colors from this book, especially that primary colors mix to make other colors. We read the book so much it wore out. Now it is my daughter's turn and time for her own copy to wear out.

I was inspired by Ann Budd's book The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns, Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes and Gauges, as I looked through a friends copy. It is now time to return her copy and buy my own.
The book helped me get started on a sweater I just finished knitting, it made the daunting possible!!! The book offered ideas and directions so I could use yarn I had spun with a very special set of needles. (The needles were a birthday present from my 5 year old son, purchased with his own money.) Before I was introduced to this book I was at a loss about how to get started!
The instructions and illustrations were very clear and helpful. Ann Budd gives permission to photo copy pages or write in the book. The charts regarding the size and gauge are very simple to follow. The photos of the sweaters offer clear images and show details.
This book has helped boost my confidence as knitter. As I tell my students and friends "the only limit is your imagination." Now my imagination and skills can work together. Looking forward to starting my next sweater with my own copy of The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns at my side.
