Batman Year One is a piece of Art to me. This book captures the early days of Bruce Wayne, his struggle for existance and tells the tale of a BAT! He becomes BATMAN. It also captures dark life and truth related to James Gordan, his struggle for truth, it also tries to capture Sylina Kyle (Catwoman's early days) though I thought somemore could have been added. I loved the pacing, the dialogues, the struggle within the characters. It is a pure collaboration of art and literature. David's illustrations are fabulous. Perhaps a very very good book written by Frank Miller after Dark Knight Returns. I love this book.
