Cemetery Dance (Large Print) by Douglas J Preston
Cemetery Dance (Large Print)

Like other books of this series, this is also one of those creepy tales set in contemporary New York City.

I'd recommend this book to people who enjoy fiction or to those who like a supernatural cast to their mysteries. It is a tad far-fetched. But, if you can move beyond over-analyzing, it's definitely a fun-read. I can hardly wait for the next installment of this series!!

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3) by Suzanne Collins
Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3)

Adya, August 6, 2012

"Expect the unexpected" says it all. After reading the earlier books of the trilogy, I was pretty sure I had it all figured out... But Suzanne Collins got even better. I went through this one even faster. It was nearly impossible to put down and I must confess the book was more than worth it!

In a nutshell, it's a great book that would appeal to teens and adults alike. Just pick it up and you won't be disappointed!

Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less
Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less

Adya, July 2, 2012

First book ever written by Jeffrey Archer. A multi-millionaire named Harvey Metcalf sets up a fake company, and proceeds to swindle four men out of one million dollars. All four men, each on the brink of ruin due to Metcalf, join forces to try and get their money back from Metcalf...

Here's where the similarity to regular revenge themed books ends. Each man plays to his strength (a mathematician, a doctor, an art dealer, and an English nobleman) - talk about eclectic! They come up with a brilliant, convoluted scheme to get their money back. The plot (in fact the whole book) just fascinated me. I coudn't put it down and hence finished it off in one session. A Must Read!!

As the Crow Flies (Walt Longmire Mysteries) by Craig Johnson
As the Crow Flies (Walt Longmire Mysteries)

Johnson's charm as a writer is twofold: his storytelling skills and his ability to capture the life emotions of his characters. No matter what kind of characters, they all come to life in Johnson's narration.

As the Crow Flies has everything you would want a mystery/ thriller to be: an interesting storyline with plenty of action that moves swiftly and surely, laugh-out-loud humor in all the right places, a cast of characters that you will loyally want to follow (to their numerous adventures), and even true tear-jerker moments (rare, but they are there).

Design on a Crime: Deadly Decor Mystery, Book 1 by Ginny Aiken
Design on a Crime: Deadly Decor Mystery, Book 1

Adya, June 7, 2012

Hilarious.... It nearly set my jaws aching with spontaneous laughter. Ginny Aiken has really brought the characters to life. The protagonist Haley is just so amusing as she tries to solve a murder, while remaining the top suspect! Half the times it's difficult to know whether to laugh or cry at the latest predicament she's embroiled herself in... thanks to her runaway tongue!
