In My Father's Den
In My Father's Den

This story is utterly beautiful and hugely devastating. A serious thriller that is as captivating as any drama to date. Established in such a way as to be nearly uncomfortably close-to-home, this multifacetd story of coming-of-age: loving, losing, running away, and attempting to deny your past, shines eternal hope from the gloom of fatal mistakes and misunderstandings. A MUST read-see-hear. Maurice Gee has truly captured the essence of loss and forgiveness.

The Heaven of Mercury by Brad Watson
The Heaven of Mercury

Beautiful and astonishing, this book feels like a summer day in the shade listening to chattering birds or a falling brook. A tale about first, and last, love and all the trials and tribulations of having to watch the people you love grow up around you without being able to touch them. Gernerous and fulfilling. Highly recommended.

I have listened to an excerpt of the audiotape and found the reading of these stories to be magnificent. Matthew Macfadyen does a superb job and his sultry voice accentuates the emotion carried throughout the book. The stories are true and hearfelt coming-of-age paintings. Well done.
