I've read this book at least three times and am surprised each time. The scope is amazing and I feel connected to each character which is a huge accomplishment. I love that each time I read it I get the feeling that I am running into old friends again and I'm glad that the book is long enough for me to spend enough time with each of these friends.

Some may have been dissuaded by the obscurity of alligator wrestling but that was the aspect that enticed me most and also disappointed me. The writing was nice and clear but I just wanted more circusy things, maybe I'm a needy reader

Meh, I finished it so it clearly wasn't terrible but it could have been better. I loved being transported back to the era but I felt the book lacked explanations for many of the turns of events.

Much more interesting in thought provoking than I had anticipated and I loved it. I am very fold of King's usual thriller but I loved the twist on time travel and what a person has the ability to change. Made me wonder what I would do if I could change past events of my life and how that change would affect my present.
