This is just the thing for getting back into some serious autumn reading; recommended to me by a psychiatrist friend who thought that maybe psychology wasn't Gonen's strong suit. Nonetheless, I found the book compelling, the history--this interpretation of the history--of Jewish thought and the Jewish psyche, fascinating.
