Al Gore's new book scares the crap out of me. So far the reviews seem to have missed the central thrust of the book: the Bush administration is, step by step, putting everything into place for a dictatorship if we allow it. And there seems to be nothing much we can do, since the electorate is so powerless. The future looks bleak; it's not 2007, it's 1984.
