Even months after reading this amazing novel, I can close my eyes and visualize Ethiopia's Missing Hospital, a mispronunciation of Mission Hospital. Having spent time with the characters, I somehow feel like I know how it is to be a surgeon, and a twin, and a denizen of Ethiopia during its civil war. This is without question the most moving and satisfying book I have read this year, or in many years.
