This book is positively wonderful. I am a white girl from an upper-middle-class family and I was still able to completely relate to this book of struggles with color and poverty. The stories are interesting and shocking at times, and Packer has the ability to write a sentence so beautiful and well-crafted, you may consider it as your next tattoo.
