This book is one I have read many times. The surreal imagery of oceans and rings and circus themes has stuck with me after many years. I have had many discussions over the years about its meaning in total, but nothing has stayed with me as strongly as the evocative sensations of pulsing waves and bluish shadows. This is a great book for serious readers with a hint of the twisted in them.
