I gave this book to my daughter when she wasn't quite 3 years old... and we read it regularly until I stopped reading stories to her, and then she read it herself. She is 20 now... we STILL talk about Piggybook, and we've given it to innumerable children in our lives!
What a wonderful book for any girl or boy - the message is clear without ever being preachy, that families SHARE the workload. The illustrations are wonderful, and their change from what you expect to see to little pigs all over the place is beautifully done. This gorgeous book isn't easily available in bookstores anymore, but thankfully, Powell's can still provide it... my daughter and I both recommend it highly!

The timing couldn't be more perfect... I've been searching for the perfect birthday book for my daughter, who is herself in searching mode these days... I do believe I've found it! (and probably wouldn't have, at least not in time, had it not been for this newsletter)
