Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell

'Unfamiliar Fishes' is a very well written history of Hawaii. I highly recommend 'UF' as the history is correct and she doesn't glorify the native Hawaiians as many histories do. There is also a lot of humor in this book. Sarah Vowell is a fine writer.

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins

'The Hunger Games' is the first book of 'The Hunger Games Trilogy', it's being made into a film. 'The Hunger Games' is a young adult book that both girls and boys love and it is a huge crossover book that many adults are reading it.
