City of Bones: Mortal Instruments #1 by Cassandra Clare
City of Bones: Mortal Instruments #1

This was a really poorly written book I didn't even finish it. I was glad I borrowed it and didn't waste good money on it. I picked it up as the author is well known in the harry potter fandom realm of Drarry fanfic.
Sadly the author should have stuck to fanfic. Clary? Cassandra? Really? That is not a stretch at all it is clear that "Clary" is a poorly written character and a poor attempt to conceal the fact that it is a self insertion, too mary-sue.
Save your money and get it from the library. Or try Holly Black, Sarah Rees Brennan, Scott Westerfeld, Lauren Kate or Becca Roberts Fitzpatrick.

Murder in Italy: The Shocking Slaying of a British Student, the Accused American Girl, and an International Scandal by Candace Dempsey

Wow, it's really rude to personally attack a person for having a different opinion then you. anitaballerina was saying to get both sides just as you did. But you ranted at them personally, that's really messed up.

Review

I agree that the book was slanted in a proamanda way. It was well written though. I wish that it would have had both sides though and was weighed in a non bias light. I would say to read more books on the case as well.
