Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
Bitten

Brooke Alison, April 5, 2011

This a great introduction to some of the endearing, & endlessly intriguing characters of Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series. Elena, the only female werewolf in the world, is a strong, compelling protagonist. We journey with her as she at first tries to run from her new life, but ultimately hast to confront it and choose whether to embrace it, or keep running. She, and the rest of the characters feel like real people, who just happen to be werewolves. The universe that Kelley Armstrong creates with this first book is believable, & addicting. Though, in my opinion, this is the weakest of the Otherworld books, it is still a great read. The story only gets better as you read the rest of the series. I highly recommend you start with Bitten. It will guide you into this new world, & prepare you for the large collection of eccentric super natural beings you will continue to meet in the rest of the Otherworld series.

Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith
Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter

Brooke Alison, January 1, 2011

Amazing! Very well done. A great deal of love & passion obviously went into this book, not to mention the amount of time & research. I had no idea how much I was going to love it. As cliche as it sounds, I honestly could not put it down. So much real detail about Mr. Lincoln's life is perfectly intertwined with the vampire tale that It will have you believing in vampires, or at least in the possibility that they just may actually exist. Well done!
