The first thing that I have read that really answers (much less addresses ) my concerns about this topic. Thoughtful, totally thorough and researched, this author cares about the cultural and historical context of parenting.....and puts her money where her mouth is. If you care about your kid's health, development and sanity, as well as your own, you should read this! If you care about the environment and the innumerable, unknowable toxins and poisons we expose our kids to, you should read this. One of those books where you go "Obviously......that makes so much sense" with every page. And funny and engaging as well!
