Very well researched, easy to follow, and enough comments by people who were there about other people to satisfy my desire for gossip. If you enjoy reading about the Great Deal era or about World War 2, you'll enjoy this book, I think.

This is the completely revised version with up-to-date information on brain chemistry & neurotransmitters, based on Dr. Kathleen Desmaisons' work with thousands of alcoholics & addicts in sobriety centers & through her website, Radiant Recovery.
Kathleen Desmaisons has a Ph.D in Addiction Nutrition. She developed the theory that some of us are born with a biochemistry that is more susceptible to addiction. She calls this "sugar sensitivity."
Dr Desmaisons has a knack for explaining complex subjects in an easy-to-visualize way. Her tone is friendly & encouraging.
If you have children, I would also recommend "Little Sugar Addicts" which Kathleen also wrote.
