I read this many years ago and have never forgotten how enjoyable it was. Mr. Anthony brings the characters to life and you feel you are there with them. It was fascinating to read how life was at that time. This is a book to read over and over.
I loved this book. I laughed and cried, sometimes simultaneously. I'm not big on romance books, but this is not typical of that genre. It's real and believable, the characters very alive.
