Knoppix for Dummies by Paul G. Sery
Knoppix for Dummies

Chanio, August 9, 2009

If you want to start using Linux but are afraid of doing something wrong... Accessing Internet without security. Or damaging your computer. Or you are afraid of spoiling your system. Then, you should try Knoppix!

It returns the students to the original way of studying computers: playing trial and errors. Try without any real risks!

As you are using a CD or DVD without installing anything, when you need to restart all over again, just turn off your computer! As easy as it sounds...
When you turn all off, the memory erases and you are able to start from scratch without any effort. Everything comes pre-configured. And the system configures your particular hardware without asking you anything!

What a great idea! The same as reading this book to have a guidance in your path towards becoming a Linux Guru. Take your time, and take all risks that you could imagine, without any consequences...

Debian is a great and secure Linux OS, but it is better to start learning with Knoppix (same OS but in LiveCD and easier) and when you are an expert hacker, then install what you choose for good.

Then thank this author and thank Klaus Knopper!
