The Search for WondLa (Search for WondLa #01) by Tony DiTerlizzi
The Search for WondLa (Search for WondLa #01)

Cheyenne, November 24, 2013

I loved this book!! It is sort of a middle grade sci-fi/dystopian novel which I have never heard of or read before. The characters in the book are so amazingly well written. Each one is so individual and unique and I couldn't help but fall in love with them. Otto was definitely my favorite.

I thought that the pacing of the story was done really well. I never felt like there was slow moving parts. Each page seemed like it had a point to help out the story. The book also contains many truly fantastic illustrations which added to the book in such a brilliant way. I was sucked into this book from the very beginning.

I hadn't really known what to expect from this book so I was pleasantly surprised to absolutely love this book. There is a sequel which I will hopefully be able to read in the near future.

A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury
A Thousand Tomorrows

Cheyenne, April 3, 2013

This was my first Karen Kingsbury novel that I have read. Not my favorite genre because I usually go for historical fiction instead of contemporary stories. It had a touching story, one about love and forgiveness. The writing was a little bland, however and everything moved very quickly without a lot if depth to it.

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1)

Cheyenne, January 1, 2013

It took me a long time to actually begin this series but I was hooked the minute I started. Suzanne Collins may not be the most talented writer but she is a phenomenal storyteller. I laughed and cried as I read this book and was constantly on the edge of my seat. This was definitely my favorite book in the series and the best book I read in 2012.

Courting Morrow Little

This book was absolutely amazing. Laura Frantz draws you in with her beautiful descriptions, compelling storyline and unforgettable characters. I loved absolutely every minute of it. I cried more than a few times but maybe that is just me being a little over-emotional. It was an all around wonderful book and I can't wait to read more of her work.
