The Hunger Games (Hunger Games #01) by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games (Hunger Games #01)

Cindergirl3, December 29, 2009

I could not tear myself away from this book. I read it on a cross country plane trip during which I'm usually counting the minutes until landing. However, with this book my uncomfortable surroundings disappeared and I didn't want to move until I was finished. I greatly enjoy young adult fiction and this is one of the finest novels I've ever read. It should be on required reading lists everywhere.

The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World by Eric Weiner
The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World

I enjoyed the ride of this book more for the travel aspect than the personal discovery. The bits of happiness research and the comparisons of each different culture were very educational and entertaining.

Rick Steves' travel books should be required reading for any traveler. We didn't need anything but this wonderful book to get around and fully explore Provence and the French Riviera.

Rick Steves' France (Rick Steves' France)

This book was our bible during our honeymoon. Every restaurant recommendation was spot on, directions are super detailed and the self guided tours are so informative AND save you money. After our experience with this book, we won't travel without Rick Steves.
