Magic on the Storm (Allie Beckstrom #4) by Devon Monk
Magic on the Storm (Allie Beckstrom #4)

CoryWillow, June 4, 2010

Well I haven't yet read this one in the series--This just goes to show how confident in Devon Monk's ability to hold the reader rapt with excited curiosity I am! She knows how to captivate me! It's only been a week and I am already on her third book so when I found out there was a fourth--I've got to read it!! I'm trying to go slow and savor the charaters, the plot and all but her books are darn exciting!! Got to read them all!!

To help readers who have yet to read anything from Devon Monk, perhaps a background on the writing styles and content that I lovewill help!

I love to read , Karen Chance, Kim Harrison, Vicki Petterson, Lisa Shearin, Sharon Shinn, Laurell K. Hamilton, and Karen Marie Moning. Urban Fantasy, dark, romance, passion, adventure, fighting (lots of action, blood, super feisty heroines). I've lived in Portland for many years and now that I am away, her style, tone, and description of the city and the world full of magic, intrigue, bring it all back to me in vital ways that make me miss the rain (which can come from all directions), the coffeeshops, bridges, and family that live. Now when I go back to visit I will know one of my new Favorite Authors might be scouting areas in planning her next book! And I can only hope to catch a glimpse of her and tell her she is an inspiration to me. This is the first books to be written in a setting that I have a deep personal connection with. (if there are other urban fantasy novelists who write about P-town, I don't know them, yet).
