The Zentangle Untangled Workbook: A Tangle-A-Day to Draw Your Stress Away by Kass Hall
The Zentangle Untangled Workbook: A Tangle-A-Day to Draw Your Stress Away

Courtney Scott, February 14, 2014

I am so happy I have discovered Zentangle. I have a feeling this is going to be a big thing here soon. It's relaxing, stimulating, and somehow....you can feel stress melt off you, and into your picture.
When I was a kid, my mum would tell me to write down any angry/stressful/sad/worried feelings I was having. "Get them out of your head" she'd say. Then I would tear the pages out, crumple them up, and toss them in the garbage bin. It was a release somehow. Now, I can do the same thing, my sad Zentangles, look nothing like my Angry tangles, or my worried ones. Only instead of crumpling these up and throwing them away...you can hang them up, display them, because really....only you know what they mean!

House of Night 02 Betrayed by P C Cast
House of Night 02 Betrayed

Courtney Scott, October 17, 2012

I started reading this series with little hope. I heard bad things about it, but the story line intrigued me, so I gave it a shot. I can't put it down. I was hoping to find a book series to get me back into reading. I haven't been able to find anything to light that spark back up! And this did. During certain scenes, I got goosebummps, found myself laughing, or worrying along with the characters. I LOVE this series!

Pass Key to the GED (Barron's Pass Key to the GED) by Max Peters
Pass Key to the GED (Barron's Pass Key to the GED)

Courtney Scott, January 31, 2012

I am a mom of two and decided it was time to do something with my life. Something my girls could be proud to look up to when they get older. I needed to go to school, and get a good education so I could get a good job! But first I needed my GED. This book made that possible. This book explained things in a way that I understood, finally, for the first time in my life, I felt like I was actually learning something! I took all the knowledge I gained from this book, took my test, and passed! Now I am a full time student at the community college and I owe it all to this book! Thank you!

Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind
Wizard's First Rule

Courtney Scott, November 30, 2010

I must admit, I watched the show The Legend of the Seeker, and fell in love. During the credits, I noticed the show, was based on a book series. Any avid reader like myself would hate to admit, that I wasn't aware of that. I ran to Powells and picked up a copy and haven't been able to put it down. It's mezmorizing. Richard and Kahlen are amazingly written. Their chemestry is flawless, I love this book so far and can't wait to read more about the world in which they live!

Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse Novels) by Charlaine Harris
Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse Novels)

Courtney Scott, July 2, 2010

I must admit, I didn't even hear about these books, until I began watching True Blood on HBO. The books, are wayy better, as is any book to movie project, but still, the writers ability to pull you in, to make you a part of Sookie and Bill's world, you feel like you are right there with them, and when you snap back into reality, are actually a bit sadend that Vampires, and Shape Shifters, are only in books.
