Lily West is a self-assured independent woman, an ex-cop working for a Private Investigation Agency. While on a job to test a museum’s security Lily sees someone break in and steal an artifact with something terrible hidden in it. Something is very familiar about this thief…low and behold it’s her first love Mac, the one who took her virginity and then broke her heart. She gets the drop on Mac, but while trying to apprehend him they get shot at. Mac can’t get away fast enough, but he decides he has to take Lily…with or without her consent. He tries to tell Lily that he’s not the bad guy, but he can’t give her any more info and she has to trust him. Lily decides she has to bide her time for now and wait for a chance to take back the item and get it to the proper authorities. What follows is a wild ride. I found myself thoroughly enthralled with the story. Understanding what and why Mac was doing things, but also being enraged for Lily, because of her helplessness at times…then jealous and envious of what she was getting! Wink Wink! This book is not for the faint of heart…Jaci knows how to put a great story together! I look forward to the next in this series…and hopefully some how to on a Harley included! BG
