This second edition is long overdue. When I first read this book many years ago, I was exposed [sorry] to ideas [figure-ground and Gestalt grouping] that I try to think about every time I photograph. The first edition was a small book. This new edition must more than double the material and appears to preserve Zakia's ability to present complex and occasionally obtuse material in an accessible manner. Lots of cool illustrations, quotes and exercises.
