Forget your stereotypes of soldiers as killing machines. Turner's poetry brings a vivid humanity to the experience of war and one that we should all be aware of. Very readable and touching poems create a memoir of
Turner's experiences in Iraq. Add this slim gem of a volume to your reading about war. Highly recommended.
