Brooklyn evokes a time long ago when young ladies in both New York and In Ireland lived a life so different than our lives today. I almost felt that the young Ellis was a cousin visiting from the Old Sod. Alovely story told so simply yet so well.
I would have called this Golden Treasure ! There are so many of the unforgettable illustrations from the history of Golden Books included in this incredible book. Each one uniquely beautiful. They evoke a time when life seemed peaceful and joyful. Thank you to all the authors and illustrators for bringing so much happiness to all the children in us.
