Each short is so perfectly constructed, and dovetails neatly into the next. The result is a cathartic story arc I wished would never end. Which it sort of didn't. Superman Stories II was a difficult exercise in blending superhero lore with religious and existential puzzles. A fine read. Thirteen chapters muttered by an awful man being slowly devoured feetfirst by a fairly nice bear. Brilliant!
