I think Mama’s Girl is a phenomenal novel. Immediately in the novel we are presented with Veronica who is this young vibrant girl full of spunk and life. Veronica is out to win the affection of her mother. There are many lessons in this book that I believe are invaluable to young girls of all races and socio-economic backgrounds. This book is encouraging, seeing all the obstacles and the unfortunate home-life of Veronica; she overcame it all to become a successful editor working at The New York Times.
