Not everything that goes up necessarily needs to come down. When Ted’s cousin Salim comes to visit, they plan to take him on the London Eye. Having only one ticket, they offer it to Salim, and watch his pod go all the way around. Once it gets to the very top, Ted and his sister, Kat, both yell, “Now!” As Salim’s slowly approaches the ground, they walk over to the ride’s exit to meet him. As his pod reaches the end of the ride, Ted and Kat watch for his smiling face. But there is no Salim. They watch for two pods afterward, but still no Salim. Kat even buys the souvenir picture from the pod they thought was Salim’s, and from the pods before and after his. Salim wasn’t to be found in any of the pictures. Will Salim be lost forever in a country that is foreign to him? The London Eye Mystery, in my opinion, is a great book. I couldn’t put it down. I found myself reading it every moment of extra time I happened to have on my hands. It had humor, details, suspense, and much more. This book is good for anyone who is looking for curiosity and suspense. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
