I heard Garrison Keillor read a piece from this book and I had to get a copy. I fell in love with the book, although it didn't teach me a damn thing about gardens (while giving me every reason to get my hands dirty). I gave that copy away to a friend then got another. I read the book again then gave that copy away. This will quite likely become a theme. When you read this book, prepare yourself for falling in love--the kind of book-love that makes you give it away, again and again.
