this is the 5th novel in this series by Laurie R. King featuring Shearlock Holmes and his appertince Mary russell each novel in the series takes the main characters on a different journey of suspense and danger to solve a crime that their expertise is in need of each story is fairly complex and interwoven but they all seem to follow from one novel to the next i have throughly enjoyed this series and will continue until the end i think there are a total of 14 novels in this series.
