Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
Seraphina

Heather Crozier, January 2, 2013

This is a very moving and fascinating young adult fantasy. We see the world through the eyes of Seraphina who is half human and half dragon. You don't want to be a dragon in this world. Hartman beautifully intertwines Catholicism and fantasy throughout the novel. The characters are life-like, the world-building is realistic. And it has a great lesson to teach. Looking forward to the next installment.

A truly eye-opening book and one that truly made me think about my place and the place of child in this world.
