This book is the 1905 serial edition of the novel. It differs from the 1906 text issued by Doubleday, Page, which is the common text of the novel. It is interesting for historical reasons, but the publisher's claim that the novel was "censored" and that this draft is pristine and superior is dubious, to say the least.
