I've just come back from a trip to Paris during which I used both of this season's new Paris food books--Clothilde's Edible Adventures in Paris and Hungry for Paris. If the Clothilde book had a couple of good addresses for buying cookware and foodstuffs, Hungry for Paris was indispensible in terms of great eating. It's also a beautifully written book, sort of an off-beat mixture of a guidebook, a memoir and a portrait of Paris as seen by an American expat who has lived there for over twenty years.
