A. D. : New Orleans After the Deluge (09 Edition)

Stark and graphically realistic, the full portrait of the devastation of the wake of Katrina is deeply & unflatteringly displayed in all accounts and realms.
Why did New Orleans 'go Under'? And, why were so many lives taken during an epic storm of surreally and unbelievably massive chaotic demise?
Not since The Civil War were so many casualties bound by one populated area.
Over 2,000 lives were lost during a mesh of miscommunication, faulty preparations, improper weather information, and for The City that Care Forgot, a tumultuous bludgeon to its' culture, character, and charisma.
Is a city that so crucially lost so much ever to be filled with its' charm and joyous wonder of life? Hard knocks shatter communities and peoples within the communities, and Katrina left nothing but shame to be pinned on the Corps of Engineers, and this city called Nouvelle Orleans.
