The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender
The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake

Jeanette Hubbard, January 19, 2012

I loved this book. The premise is based on the "gift" of knowing what emotions a cook puts into a dish, and what affect that has on the eater. Since the cooking of food is often an act of love, the metaphor of tasting the chef's emotions is brilliant. Loved it.
