I haven't read this book yet, but I did hear the interview/essay years ago on This American Life. It was riveting; my children were babies then and I remember thinking that that kind of angst and pain were such a very long way off for us. My oldest is now nine, and it seems like those kind of epic battles are just around the bend. I look forward to reading this book and its insights.
