A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity

Absorbing, intelligent book that fairly propels you to write a check, volunteer, DO SOMETHING!! Another compelling book by this couple. Excellent!

I loved this book. Fun, fun history and rich characters I cared about. I just wanted to disappear with it until I was finished!

Acqua Alta by Donna Leon
Acqua Alta

When I need book that will offer me an intelligent, wonderful escape to another place...Donna Leon is always a pleasure. Brunetti is a fabulous character and his wife is just as enjoyable. The food, the culture, the subtle and not so subtle comments on Italian culture and politics...beautiful. This book is one of my favorites in the series which, thankfully, has many volumes. Great mystery writer.

Greywalker by Kat Richardson

I am not a science fiction person. Really. But something caught me about this book, and I am now three deep into the series. A smart heroine who you could almost see yourself being. Especially fun reading for people who know Seattle and its culture a bit.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
The Art of Racing in the Rain

I read at least one book weekly. I enjoy most of what I read, but this one will always reside in my heart. Part of it is due to the pitch perfect Seattle descriptions, mostly it is the raw humanity (or perhaps caninanity?).
Just read it.
