I bought a copy of her Lebanese cookbook for a friend, since I have used it over the years. Didn't know about this one, so I picked it up on a lark. My dog had to go potty at 2 AM and now it is 5 and all I have been doing is reading and getting hungry. Wish the wars in the middle east would die down so I could experience this food in person, but this is the most sensory thing I have read recently and we have nearly if not over 300 cookbooks. DEFINITELY HIGH ON MY SHORT LIST. WILL BE BUYING FOR CLOSE FRIENDS.

An excellent book. Better written and easier to read than McGee (sp?). This plus Madeleine Kamman's book and very little can stump you in the kitchen.(11 of 19 readers found this comment helpful)
